Company History

• 1943 - Acme Time Card Company established by Joe Hoover in Grand Rapids, Michigan
• 1950 - The growing company moved to a new facility on Straight Ave.
• 1955 - Company name changed to Imperial Tag & Printing Company
• 1969 - Moved to a newly built 10,000 sq. ft. facility on Oak Industrial Drive
• 1972 - The company continues to grow and a 10,000 sq. ft. addition added
• 1979 - Company sold to BISSELL Inc., a Grand Rapids homecare products company
• 1988 - The Company moved to a new 70,000 sq. ft. building on Walkent Dr.
• 1994 - The company name was changed to Imperial Graphics, Inc.
• 1996 - The company's market expands and 30,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing and office space added, bringing the total size of the operation to 100,000 sq. ft.
• 2000 - Matthew R. Bissell purchased the company from BISSELL Inc.
